Many groups, staying at the YMC, make also a trip to the War- and
Resistance-museum. It is not too far away and can be reached easily by
bike. The
museum gives a “live”-report about daily life in
the time between 1940
and
1945. For a couple of hours the visitors will be caught by exciting
information, not
only drawing the attention but also making you think about these
things.

Anne Frank House
in Amsterdam
A trip to Amstedam with a visit to
the Anne Frank House can be prepared in detail at the YMC Ysselsteyn
and is a
good addition to the program at the YMC. We can provide you
with
a
variety of
video materials (e. g. the film “Just a diary”)
which could be included
in the
preparations for the visit.

have a bus, we can

touring bus. It costs € 550,-- a day round trip
(8:00 am – 8:00 pm). Please
consider that it
might be cheaper to
take the train, if your group is not that
big. The YMC-Team will gladly
help
you, to find the best solution.
Camp Vught in Vught
On the German cemetery in Ysselsteyn rest also civil victims, who died
in
Vught. These
citizens are German women and children, who lived near the German en
Dutch Border. They were evacuated to Vught during the end of the
war.
A visit in Camp Vught provides
information about what happened in the concentration-camp in Vught.
You can combine this trip with a sightseeing-tour through Den Bosch.

There is no entrance-fee

For school
groups (between
10-25 people) a guided tour can be booked for € 15,-.

- Netherlands memorial park Groesbeek
As a memorial to the Canadians having fought for the liberation of the
Dutch
people during the
Second
World War.
Canadian
War Cemetery
More than 2300 Canadian soldiers rest on this cemetery, who died during
the
operation "Veritable" in February 1945.
Between the
park and the cemetery is
the
1944 –
1945 National Liberation
Museum
situated.
This
museum has the intention to warn
the visitor of the threats for liberty, democracy and human rights in
the past and the present. ‘Democracy and human rights are
still
under fire, and this should encourage us for more
engagement.’ The
museum also offers some educational programs.

Africa
musem
This
open-air museum provides information about the living and working
conditions in some places of Africa. Part of the visit is a walk over
a living area from Ghana followed by a village of the Dogon from
Mali. The museum organizes different activities for groups such as
cooking, African stories, music and dance workshops.

Bible-open-air-museum
This museum
gives us detailed information
about the origins and the
background of those religions influenced by the bible. It is the goal
of this
museum to contribute via education to a change in the way of thinking
in a

Bike-tour through
the
surrounding of the YMC
One day by bike through the surrounding of Northern
Limburg incl.
guided tour
of the National Park “De Peel” and guided tour of a
rose-farm.
Fee
For the
guided tour of "De Peel" have
the journey-costs to
be paid and it is important to give a
small present.
The guide of the rose-farm expects a
small present.
Reservation
The guided tour has to be
prearranged.
Requirements Bikes, € 10,- p.p. for the
whole stay at the
YMC.
Swimming
The "Gran Dorado Park" in
Loohorst
offers a subtropical water-paradise including child-bath, surge-bath,
warm bath
outside (also in the winter), jet-stream, water-slide, whirlpools and
recreation-bath. The bath can be reached by bike.
Swimming is
a nice activity in the
evenings.

Peelgolf
<>Peelgolf
is a variation of the regular Golfgame.
There is a peelgolftrack
of 10 holes, wich you have to do in so less as possible battles. The
holes has
a length between the 50 en 150 meters. A hole consist of a turnpoint
and a
endpoint; ‘the put’, a bucket in the ground with a
numberd flag. The
bucket is
the start for the next hole.
Everybody
can play unesteemed the age or sporttalent.
You’ll
find the Peelgolftrack in 5 min. walking from
the YMC!

A Fun Forest full of exciting adventures suitable for the young and the
