Poem competition about PEACE
Yearly on the 21st of September the International Day for Peace is celebrated over the whole world. With the purpose 'a world wide day of armistice and non violence'. The YMC Ysselsteyn (at the German wargrave cemetery) organises a special poem competition.
Everybody is allowed to participate. Try to decribe your idea of PEACE in a beautiful poem.

There will be 9 poems nominated. These nominated poems will be exhibited in the German wargrave cemetery in Ysselsteyn on large garden posters. The exhibition of garden posters with poems can be examine from the 21st of september till the 10th of december. On Friday the 12th of november the first price winnar will be announced. The poems must be sent digitally by the 10th of septemer 2010 to info@joc-ysselsteyn.com. Here you will find the registration form and the conditions of the poem competition.

Youth Exchange Boundaries

This summer 6 youngsters from Ysselsteyn and region will participated on the exchange project with youngsters from Bulgaria, Finland, Turkey and Greece. They will meet the other youngsters in Mariehamn Finland. Last year they already met eachother during an exchange at the YMC Ysselsteyn. For more information about the project last year, see the short film on You Tube! These youth exchanges has been made possible by the Youth in Action Programme of the European Union.

Bicycle weekend through the history 
This weekend arrangement is possible throughout the whole year. Your stay includes breakfast in a 2 or 4 bed room inclusive bed-linen and towels. 
Everybody gets a bicycle. 
Starting by the German war cemetery you cycle to the village Overloon and visit the national war and resistance museum. From there the ride continues to the British war cemetery in Venray.
You will get an entrance ticket for the museum, a bicycle map and an information guide over North Limburg.
Arrival at the youth meeting centre (YMC) is Friday evening.

Departure Sunday morning after breakfast.
Costs € 70, - p.p.
Children ‘till the age of 12 who stay in the same room as their parents pay € 55,-
If you prefer to go by car, you’re also welcome to stay in our Youth Meeting Center.
